A Holy Calling!

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.
Heb 3:1

It is a huge blessing and help to know your God-given calling and place in life. All of a sudden, stress, frustration and restlessness is blown away. All the darkness has now been exchanged with energy for life, "self-go" and joy to work.

The Great Commission includes all Jesus-followers, but the specific calling is often what really makes us take off for the stars. Your specific gifting and life-passion is submitted to the Great Commission, but it is more practical and detailed than that. Maybe you are called by God to be a doctor, police officer or politician. Others are called, with the same holy calling, to be authors, business men or musicians. A couple says with tears in their eyes that God called them to be a "hope-home" for former criminals or refugee children that are alone. Someone is called by Jesus to to start a rehabilitation home for drug addicts, or build a TV studio. The calling is unique and personally designed by the Creator, who knows you better than you know yourself. You will hear Him calling  when you seek Him and His perfect will for your life. His calling is personal and He entrusts you to cooperate with Him in His kingdom. Exciting!

The calling gives you three vital and totally necessary for a happy and purposeful life.

1. Direction. You know what the goal is now and where you are heading. You are walking with steady steps, and there's a peace on you.

2. Grace. Special power, ability and favor for your specific task.

3. Protection. Angels surrounds you. There's an area around you especially protected where you are called to work and minister.

On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised just as Peter had been to the circumcised. For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles. James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.
Gal 2:7-9

I met Jesus. I had deep life changing spiritual experiences in my late teenage years that are the very foundation for everything I am doing and stand for today. I carry a holy calling to be an evangelist and missionary. What has God called you to do?

The calling is holy and of great importance. Come and seek God for your future together with us at SOS Church Stockholm at Norra Latin on Drottninggatan 71B all Sundays at 4 pm.
