Different Combination of Gifts...

All my friends here in the US are church planters, pioneers, and wild conquering charismatic Christians... We are apostolic, that is, we believe in the early church according to the Book of Acts being as strong and powerful today as then... We emphasize the roll and office of the five fold ministry gifts in practical church building. Today I am preparing a leadership teaching... Here are some thoughts from my own private Bible study, dig in...

According to chapter four in Paul's letter to the Ephesians we typically talk about five different leader gifts or ministry gifts, ie Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher... The ministry gifts are there from birth and later confirmed (through fruit) but also ordained before God and people. The ministry gifts are leaders that build up, edify the church and make the disciples more effective in their tasks and callings... OK... Still it seems like there are combinations, some one is an apostolic Evangelist, another is evangelistic Apostle, and others carry several leadership gifts in fantastic and wonderful combinations, all for the expansion of God's Kingdom...

The Apostle Paul...

- Paul was Evangelist, Apostle, and Teacher (2 Tim 1:11)

- Peter was Pastor and Apostle (Joh 21:15-17, 1 Pet 5:11)

- Timothy was Evangelist, and Apostle (2 Tim 4:5)

- Barnabas was most likely Prophet, Teacher and Apostle (Acts 13:1)

We have to prepare the next generation for an apostolic revolution where the five fold ministry gifts conquer nations and unreached peoples with the Gospel of Jesus!

See ya!
