Mbeya - Day 5

Jens Charlieson continues to report from Mbeya:

The fifth and last festival day is now behind us and the crowd just continued to grow from 15,000 on Wednesday to 80,000 tonight! The festival is over and we are so thankful to Jesus for a fantastic week here in Mbeya!

This morning our 160 people strong team aws divided into 30 smaller teams and visited the local churches and ministered there. In one of these churches 20 people gave their lives to Jesus, 30 were baptized in the Holy Spirit and a deaf and mute man was healed!

Even though we didn't lay hands on everyone who needed healing tonight, the healing documentation team were really busy. A man who we had prayed for two nights earlier for pain in his lower abdomen ame back. He told us that he had a dream last night that he was on an operating table, a doctor performed surgery, stitched him up and put a bandage on. When he woke up from the dream he realized that the pain was gone!

This night concluded with a mass-baptism in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God swept over the field and from stage we could see how mouth after mouth started speaking in tongues, people were crying and laughing and bubbling in their new prayer launguage. Two sisters stood in the middle of the field, one of them started speaking in tongues even before Johannes was done praying, the other one started speaking just a little while after, tears streaming down her face. They were both baptized in the Holy Spirit tonight, together with thousands of others.

Water baptism at the festival ground!

Thank you Jesus for what you have done here this week! Thousands have given their lives to Jesus (we will be back with figures later), so many deaf ears have popped open, blind eyes have been opened, paralyzed limbs have gained strength and function, well, I could spend all night telling you just about all the miracles! Lives are forever changed, and we are so thankful!
