Day 1 - Mbeya

This week I will let our own author and writer, Jens Charlieson, report directly from our Signs & Wonders Festival here in Mbeya, Tanzania:

Mbeya Signs & Wonders festival is on! The first festival meeting concluded just a few hours ago and the team has, since then had dinner, while sharing miracle stories from today. One person tells us about the woman who was deaf on one ear that Jesus healed, another about the girls that she stood talking to before the message, who then ran to the front at the salvation invitation and how happy they were afterwards. Such stories are the best spices you can have for dinner.

Jesus opening deaf ears!

But, no first festival meeting without some problems. Just hours before it all started there was no electricity at the stage. Our generator broke down last night, and our practical crew has since then worked intensely on fixing it. Less than an hour before the first meeting it started again! The music instruments that were supposed to be there early arrived a few minutes before the start. It is always exciting to do festivals here in Africa!

Today there were around 15,000 people at the festival ground. Many gave their lives to Jesus and Jesus opened two deaf ears! One of them was a woman who had been deaf on one ear since birth. She was completely healed and when she returns to the Deaf School tomorrow, where she works as a teacher, she will have to tell her students about what happened!

We believe God for a larger crowd tomorrow! Stand with us in prayer for more miracles and greater breakthrough in this city in southern Tanzania!
