Simple Life Style...

Jesus said to his disciples: Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep. Matt 10:9-10

The Apostle Paul said: But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 1 Tim 6:8

James (the Lord's brother) said: Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. James 5:3

I always loved a simple life style, it simply works best, both on the mission field and home in Stockholm. No one becomes happier if they drive the latest model car or shower in a bathroom renovated for $10,000 or cook in a kitchen made over for $7,000... Quality of life isn't neccesarily measured by the brand clothes in the closet, the latest cell phone or lap top on the market. You're not letting yourself be chased by the hipp and cool ghost of the western world that says that you have to have the latest hair do or spring shoes are you? Relax. Enjoy the little things and moments that every day life offers instead.

Jesus said: Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Matt 6:25b

A couple of days ago I picked up my son Adam after school and we sat on a park bench in Tullinge Center and had an ice cream in the sunshine... We were happy. We were content. Not even the parking ticket of $50 on the wind shield could steal our simle joy when we went home. Expensive ice cream - $55... :) God is good anyhow! My boy Adam and I owned the world!

-It's cool dad, Adam said in the car on our way home... Adam is soon eight years old and he's right - smart guy actually... Daddy will pay he thinks, and I think the same thing... My dad (God) will pay, he helps and fixes things when I've schrewed up... It's cool...

See ya!
