Performance, "Eastering Kids" and lots of Candy...

Alicias class had an Easter performance this morning together with several third grade studens in the community. The auditorium, "Kulturum" in Märsta was packed full of excited and curious parents and lucklily Johannes could go before he had to leave for Sölvesborg in Southern Sweden. Dances and songs were performed, but Alicias class had the honor to do the "grand finale" performance. They danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller." They did great. I realize that we are a little bit biased, but we were really impressed. Cool outfits, great coreography and a great stage presence. Fun.

When Johannes left for the airport
we got really busy here at home with other important things. As soon as the kids came home from school we started looking for "dress up clothes." It was time for the anual "Eastering." After an hour of cutting and gluing, painting and fixing, they were ready. This year Alicia is a little chick coming out of the egg, and Adam choose to be the famous Easter Bunny. Adam had a friend over and he bacame a rooster. Together with some kids from the neighborhood dressed up as Easter witches they went out on a mission. It can be very rewarding to knock around the neighborhood, wish the neighbors Happy Easter and hand out handmade Easter cards. They just came home with LOTS of candy and right now we are trying to divide it all up equally here in the kitchen - a very important job...

Wish you a very Happy Easter!
