Gen 4:7
You don't have to be defeated by sin, you can rule over it. You don't have to be depressed, instead the Bible gives you permission to be both happy and to dance. Say out loud: today I will worship and reign in life!
How? I feel so down, Hannes. How in the world will this happen? I don't have what it takes. I don't have the energy to fight all the time. Thoughts of condemnation, hopelessness and guilt over your own insufficiency is what's occupying your mind right now... Listen to the gospel friend!
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
Rom 5:17
The Apostle Paul clearly explains for us in the book of Romans that the prerequisites to be able to reign in life is that we first receive two things:
1. The overflowing grace.
2. The gift of righteousness.
Jesus has already done everything. He cried out "it is finished" two thousand years ago on the cross!
You are not supposed to try to do a lot of things that He has already done, my friend. There is nothing you can add or subtract. He has already forgiven, healed and blessed you! All you should do is to receive! When you have received grace and righteousness as gifts from Him, then you can start to reign! When you have received His completed task and work at Calvary - then even you can reign!
First the gifts of grace and righteousness, then reigning and life! Not the other way around. First rest in Jesus' 100% completed victory and then full attack against the devil and sin! Everything in the right order my friend! Feet by feet. Area after area. Day after day of success, soundness and life. The devil loses occupied land and the Kingdom of God wins new territory! One step at a time, better and better, yes and at last just: VICTORY!
You are supposed to reign here on earth together with Jesus! You are not just priest, but actually also king (Rev 1:6)! Reign in life!

On Sunday I am preaching at our celebration at 4 pm on Drottninggatan. I am longing! I know that I will explode with life and encouragement from Jesus!
