Iron Mike

Michael Gerald Tyson was born in Brooklyn  NY, USA in 1966. One of his nicknames was "Kid Dynamite" which he received after winning the world champion title in 1986 just 20 years old... Tyson was the African American heavy weight boxer (99kg) with a reach of 1.80; an explosive muscle package that punched harder than most. Tyson became the prototype for the "under-dog fighter" from the ghetto... During his active years, 1985-2006, he fought 58 matches and won 44 on knock out, that is not counting all his other wins... Knock out became a synonym for Tyson. He just was Iron Mike that knocked the lights out of his opponents :). Tyson took down the toughest boxers out there and became more or less "R-rated" :).

Tyson was well-known for his violent and brutal boxing-style and for his very controversial behavior outside the ring. Generally he seems to be one of the most hard-hitting boxers of all time and was ranked no. 16 in the prestigious boxing-magazine "The Rings" list of  "The Greatest Punchers of All Time" and as no. 1 at ESPN.com's list of "The Most Hard-Hitting in Heavy Weight History."

I loved watching Tyson box wen I was a teenager, and grieved when he was sentenced to prison for rape and when he converted to Islam... He had his dark sides. He ruined his reputation  But in spite of all that, he was a great athlete...

Tyson earned $300,000,000 on his boxing. He fought his way up from the ghetto and asphalt jungle to the very center of the world's flood lights...

My little German Shepherd puppy is named Tyson, after my teenage hero, I was sooo happy when the family finally agreed on that name... Sorry all church-people and every sensitive reader; but it was magical to see Tyson fight. Just to see him challenge the world's fists and fighters in his own cocky way was just as wonderful as to see Zlatan play soccer... The same winning head! Same audacious look! No one will tell me what to do!

We need these kinds of fighters in the spiritual ring too... Yeah, yeah... Love ya Tyson... Love ya... (Teenage nostalgia on a high level...)

See ya!
