Undivided Loyalty

I've preached two services at Reach Church here in Austin TX today and prayed with abround 30 people to salvation! Reach Church has a rock-based young and progressive worship and people are very hungry and open... Sooo exciting; what a future!
I am soon speaking to all the leaders at a cook out at Chris and Melissa Gilkey's home. Everyone is gathering downstairs and in the yard and I'm here in the guest room blogging... Will speak about a united team tonight.

Thinking of our SOS family. I am so thankful for the strong loyalty and strong bonds that have sprung forth over the years. Many of us have been friends for 15 years now... I am meditating on Bible verses from 1 Chronicles about David's heroes. They had an undivided loyalty to their leader, but also to the team and their people. So beautiful!

...they were among the warriors who helped him in battle...
1 Chron 12:1b

Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said:
“We are yours, David!
We are with you, son of Jesse!
Success, success to you,
and success to those who help you,
for your God will help you.”
So David received them and made them leaders of his raiding bands.
1 Chron 12:18

They were David's heroes. Without David, no heroes, and without the heroes, no king or kingdom. They were dependent on each other.

Later in the same chapter in verse 33 you can read about the 50,000 warriors that came from the tribe of Zebulon that they; "helped David with undivided loyalty..." These kind of warriors is exactly what every sucessful Apostolic Church and Ministry needs.

All these were fighting men who volunteered to serve in the ranks. They came to Hebron fully determined to make David king over all Israel.
1 Chron 12:38a

David's heroes and warriors had an undivided loyalty to David, each other, the kingdom and the people.

Thank You dear Lord Jesus that You, through the Holy Spirit, have given me a team like this! Thank You God for SOS; all our mission bases, Bible schools and churches!

See ya!
