Heroes in Modern History

Thoughts and reflections over a cup of coffee in the bar late night. Sitting on a bar stool in the foyer of the Augustines Hotel in Trondheim, Norway… I’m preaching here all weekend. Enjoying some good reads about modern history… Also enjoying being alone…

Question; what do the two following heroic Jews have in common?!

Mordechai Analevicz; the 22 year old that lead the uprising in the ghetto of Warsaw against the SS in the spring of 1943. Though they were starving and had poor weapons, they managed to kill 800 German soldiers…

Eli Cohen; Jew, born in Egypt who was a spy in Damascus, Syria for many years; he was one of the Mossad’s, the Israeli secret service’s, elite spies. Eli was hung May 18th 1965 after he was exposed. Eli was executed on a packed out Martyr’s square in Damascus during live broadcasting on TV… He fought and died for the security and survival of his people…

Answer; they were both ready to die for something!

German troops in the  Warsaw ghetto in 1943...

Is it fanatisicm to be willing and ready to die for others and your beliefs? Do we need people with this kind of character  and tough personalities in Scandinavia 2011? Do we need people that cannot be bribed or silenced in the modern global Christian “Holy Spirit Movement”?! Do we need courageous Christian men and women in Europe?

Answer; YES!!!

God will call forth young, radical people with courage, sense of justice, integrity and bleeding beliefs. They are actually the ones who create what later ends up in the history books… Sadly though, they are almost always declared to be heroes after their death. The fact is, that without these people nothing worth mentioning really happens, and we do not break new ground. Scandinavia is calling out for their own heroes. People we can be proud of. The Christian church in Scandinavia need young pioneers with real convictions! People who are willing to battle against genital mutilation, racism, discrimination, abortion, and pedophelia! People who are willing to take a stand for our already threatened freedom of opinion, speech and religion!

Where are you?! Show yourselves! Come forth! Where are the 20-30 year olds with sounding convictions?

See ya!
