The Anointing!

The Holy Spirit lives in every believer. We are the temple of God on this earth. Together we are Jesus' body (1 Cor 6:19, 2 Cor 6:16, 1 Peter 2:5)!

What is the difference between the Holy Spirit and the anointing of the Holy Spirit?

The anointing is connected to the special task and is directly related and connected to what we have specifically been called by God to do. Anointed by the Spirit for a specific ministry. In the stories of the Old Testament the Spirit would fall over the judge, the prophet and then over the specially chosen king of Israel... Anointed titles and tasks for bigger responsibilities and assignments for the people that were to be lead.

Today the Spirit comes to and over everyone after Jesus' redemption-death, ressurrection and ascension (Joel 2:28-29, Acts 2:17-18)! First born again and new creations through the Holy Spirit in salvation, then baptism in the Holy Spirit to be able to actualize and complete the Great Comission given by Jesus Himself (Mark 1:8, 16:15-20, Acts 1:5, 8)!

Even in the New testament there is an anointing over the calling and assignment. A special grace and power from God for a specific people or area (Gal 2:7-9).

The anointing, the mandate and the breakthrough all goes together with the person God has called, raised up and placed in a specific place or city!

God sent and anointed Jesus! God can call, send and anoint you!

...how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Acts 10:38

John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.
John 3:27

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.
John 3:34

See ya!
