Barabbas and I...

The passion story is full of so many details. The Easter story with the message of blood, death and resurrection is the best and most told story in the world...

The story of when the murderer and rioter Barabbas is freed always stabs my heart. I wonder what he was thinking? He was free without punishment even though everyone knew he was guilty. Instead Jesus was tortured and killed... I have always wondered if maybe Jesus and Barabbas looked at, or spoke to each other in Pilate's courtyard? I've always wondered if Barabbas was at Calvary witnessing the crucifixion of Jesus? What was he thinking then? Was he crying? Did he become a disciple and a Christian? Jesus certainly gave him all the opportunities to receive forgiveness and salvation. I am Barabbas... You are Barabbas...

Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

Matt 27:26

Two criminals hung at the side of Jesus bleeding, both sentenced to death by crucifixion. Calvary became the place where where a humble robber's request of a thought becomes a free pass to paradise.

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Luke 23:42-43

Just imagine how mocking and a hard heart resulted in eternal damnation for one of the criminals while the other's soft heart and pure, honest attitude turned into forgiveness and eternal life...

I want to be humble and live with Jesus forever - do you?!

Easter always leads to humility and reflection...

Jesus resurrects as Victor and we can follow, love, admire and serve...

Southern Europe!

I just came home from Switzerland. Had the privilege to celebrate the one year anniversary of our daughter church SOS Church Bienne this past weekend. So much fun! We have eaten horse steaks and of course lots of chocolate and cheese, otherwise you really haven't been in Switzerland ;).

The church has grown from the pioneer team of 25 warriors to around 100 strong members in just a year. When they have a special event they easily gather a little more than 200 happy people!

Manuelle and Tim...

I am sooo proud of our pastors, Timothee and Manuelle Zurcher. They are true shepherds with big and generous hearts. They are hospitable happy people who enjoy life and they are aggressive givers. Tim is a very competent and trustworthy leader who focuses on the big picture without being frustrated by details that might not be 100% yet... Manu is an incredibly talented worship leader with a sensitivity and purity that really release the presence of the Holy Spirit. Above all else, the Zurcher couple love people, that is very obvious and you can feel it in the entire atmosphere of the church!

Then we have Majo Bulundwe; our own charming, creative and super smart Assistant Pastor with her so contagious laugh! Majo is an evangelist, she's an awesome speaker, trains disciples, organizes and is a missionary! Majo is already a very sought after speaker and her ministry is just growing. More than anything she is humble, has a servant's heart and is a "no problem, we'll solve this woman". Majo, we love you and want to be like you!

I preached both Saturday and Sunday night and had a Bible study with the leadership team on Sunday morning. A little more than 20 prayed a salvation prayer on Sunday night and 7 were baptized in the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues! Thank you Jesus! :)

We can count on them starting a Bible School in Bienne in a year or so with focus on church planting in Southern Europe; Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Greece... SOS Church Bienne already have about 20 members that speak Italian! :)

The future is exciting! SOS Italy, SOS France, SOS Malta etc etc... The geographical restoration of the first church is on its way! Southern Europe is calling!

Does The Demons Know Who You Are?

... Paul I know about...

While the apostles where preaching the gospel, baptizing, healing and training disciples in Ephesus, western Turkey (Acts chapter 19) something pretty remarkable happened...

Some Jewish exorcists are trying to drive out demons and say; “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” (Acts 19:13b)

The people trying to drive out the evil spirits didn't know Jesus personally and were therefore attacked by the demon possessed and had to flee battered, naked and bloody from the house where they had their activity...

The demon answered them;

“Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”

Acts 19:15

Have you died and been resurrected with Jesus? Are you unified with Him? Is He your Savior and Lord? Does His Spirit live in you?

If your answer is yes to those questions above you never have to be afraid of the devil and his pack... If you can say yes to these questions, the demons actually know who you are and will flee for Jesus in you.

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Luke 10:19

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The Battle for Revival Christianity

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 

Eph 6:12

There are some battles that we just have to take. Our nation and our continent, Europe, needs us to. Most of our pastors/priests are stepping back, the church is growing more quiet and revival Christianity is backing down. We cannot allow satan to take the western world! Stop! We are saying NO! You are not allowed to advance another feet, you enemy! Listen in the name of the Lord Jesus! Stop!

The prayer and spiritual warfare of South Korean Yonggi Cho, the Argentine Carlos Anncondia's driving out evil spirits and the German Evangelist, Reinhard Bonnke's preaching on the blood of Jesus is the type of Christianity that SOS believes has to break through in Stockholm and in Europe!

My city...

The bold and strong worship of Brian Houston's Hillsong churches, David Cartledge's Apostolic revolution and the faith message by the Kenyan Wilfred Lai is what SOS is praying will take root in Stockholm and Europe!

We are battling for:

- Healing and miracle Christianity!
- Apostolic church plants and unreached peoples missions!
- Soberness and a pure and holy life!
- Prayer and strong spiritual warfare!

More battles like this have to fought and won! We will never give up! We believe in a transformed Stockholm, Sweden and Europe! The battle for revival Christianity must be won!

Miracles in Gettysburg!

I've just eaten at Burger King and I'm laying relaxed but happy on my hotel bed...

Historic Gettysburg...

It's Saturday night... We've just prayed with around 50 Americans to salvation in historic Gettysburg... We healed the sick in Jesus' name and many were healed instantly! I love Freedom Valley Church and their Apostolic network! Lovely people! :)

Just preached two services again! It's Sunday afternoon and I am touching down in my hotel room after a Chineese Buffé... Another 80 people responded to the salvation invitations today, thank you Jesus!

Sitting at Burger King, exhausted... Like a washed out sweaty rag - but sooo happy! :) Tonight 23 more people were saved and around 50 were baptized in the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues!

The House Modesto

What a weekend! Wow! I've preached for thousands of wild and happy church members at three services at The House Modesto (the church has about 10,000 members).  Last night I had the privilege of leading prayer for the city together with maybe 1,200 wild warriors!

Many have been healed and around 100 baptized in the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit has done so much :)! Thank you Jesus!

It's been so good to spend time with Daniel and Stephanie Elvelyck as well. They are on staff at The House, since a month ago, as Missions Directors. Just imagine that my own "Timothy" is building and expanding SOS on the US west coast... I am so proud of Stephanie and Daniel and sooo thankful to God for pouring His grace and favor upon them constantly  They are renting a large nice house and have decorated a very nice and representative office here :)...

I have been preaching a mini-series called The Prayer of Faith this weekend, focusing on healing! God has been faithful and confirmed His own Word! On Saturday at least one deaf ear was opened and many other miracles occurred!

The House Modesto is a powerful Apostolic church totally without compromises! They worship, jump, dance and rejoice! They heal the sick, cast out demons roar in tongues! They fast and practice regular spiritual warfare! But most of all; they pray with lots of people to salvation! They are a powerful example that there are absolutely no contradictions between being an evangelizing/winning and full-out Holy Spirit church! I've never really believed that anyway ;).

Tomorrow I fly to Arizona...
