Rest = Faith

Taking a few days off now, after intense weeks of teaching, preaching and travelling again...

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
Gen 2:2

Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
Ex 20:8

In vain you rise early
    and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
    for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Ps 127:2

To celebrate Sabbath, to go on vacation, to decrease the tempo a little. To sleep in. Everything I just mentioned actually is to say and declare;

- I believe in God's goodness towards me! He grants me what is good...
- I believe in His blessings! He does more than I could ever achieve myself and give me bonuses that I could never earn...
- I believe in His provision! He takes care of the birds, the flowers, the moose, and He takes care of me ;).
- I believe in the work of the Holy Spirit! He builds His Kingdom, His church and takes care of His people...

To rest is really to have faith! I believe that He is God, I am His child and He works when I dare to rest... Do you dare to rest?!

See ya!

Longing for Freedom!

A slow breeze in the treetops and a mild wind is calling. The small inner voice of the little person starts to whisper a song, then sings loudly until it yoiks and shouts out its bleeding song of freedom! The ashes of the heart start burning again, slowly at first, but soon there is a roaring fire... The warrior and hunter has awakened and just has to go out into the wilderness! He just has to run fast, use all his muscles, feel the wind against his face and hear the roaring water from the rapid again... An inner pressure and longing is driving him forward. I'm riding, going whatever direction I want, without any fences or limitations. I will go wherever the best hunting grounds are, where the best fishing is, where my soul is healed and I can sing and dance around the camp fire!

Sitting Bull...

This was probably what the great Sioux chief (1831-1890), Sitting Bull, felt, boxed in at the Indian reservation Standing Rock in North Dakota, almost 80 years old... Once this proud warrior had been just as free as an eagle or a buffalo, but now he was forced by the government to be the voice for his locked in people. When they wanted him to put an end to the spirit-dance movement that broke out among the deprived of liberty and limited Sioux, his response was; "I cannot take away the hope of my people"... Turmoil broke out on the reservation and Sitting Bull was shoot dead. He died for the hope of freedom for his people! Everything he wanted was to lead his people to a new valley with fresh grass, water and good hunting. All he dreamed of was to hear his people laugh and sing again, full and happy in their tents...

Every spiritual leader need Apostolic freedom to move so they can follow the Spirit of God to new mountains and valleys...

I am preaching at home in Stockholm this Sunday again! The name of my message is "Longing for Freedom"... My heart will be set free and my spirit explode when I get to share my longing and message with the people of God!

See you Sunday either at 12 noon or 4 pm at Polstjärnan, Sveavägen 77!

See ya!

To be a Passionate Mother!

Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
    but a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Prov 19:14

My Maria is a mom and very proud to be just that! She builds our home and raise our kids with her entire heart, being 200% engaged all the time. The is by far, the best mom I know ;)!

She is a RN since many years and have really succeeded in her job, building a great career and received many commissions of trust at Huddinge Hospital where she is a loved college  She takes extra classes at the University from time to time and is still hungry to learn and live. She is really a role model for me. She is a fantastic woman and my best friend.

If Maria had to choose between her education, career, titles and "only" being a mom, she would without any hesitation choose being a mom. She is a passionate mother! She is a mom with her entire being! Alicia and Adam are her life!

Alicia, Adam and Maria at the Niagara Falls...

Maria was very young when we became a couple, and at first she was just my fun, crazy and gorgeous girlfriend. I fell for her dimples and her behind in tight jeans... I was hears, without any competition. That was then ;). Everything changed when she became pregnant... She started building a home, became more cautious, her personality changed, but I loved the change! She simply became a mom! I loved her more and more... Today I'm crazy about her!

She is the missionary- and adventure-mom that crosses rivers with her kids on her back, that shop for exciting things at market places all over the world. She is the one that finds the bow and arrow, the sling shot, the enormous shell and she always succeeds in making everyday a feast for our kids on every trip. She slices water melons and pineapple in minibuses on bumpy roads, she sings and creates fun games... I admire you so honey... You wipe away vomit from cheeks and sweat from burning foreheads, you laugh and cry with us.

Maria, Alicia and I in India, Alicia's first missions trip!

Alicia and Maria at a market place in Tanzania...

Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
Prov 31:28-29

Our kids are soon big now... You are everyone's hero! You did it! Now you are a role model for so many young SOS moms and I am more in love with you than ever!

Soon you'll be back to being just my girl again, I'm actually looking forward to less competition as well ;).

See ya!

Don't Forget Our Life Style...

My daughter Alicia and I are visiting Reach Church in Austin TX this week... This Sunday we prayed with 56 precious people to salvation! We love Chris and Melissa Gilkey and are enjoying motor cycle rides, playing cards and lots of laughter...

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
1 Tim 4:16

A life style and rhythm has been carved out over the years and has become synonymous with the SOS churches and our people... Here a little summary:

1) We are prayer warriors and love to build a strong inner life and an intimacy with God's Holy Spirit... Daily meditation on the Bible, lots of speaking in tongues and regular fasting from food has really become our people's life style.

2) We share the simple and powerful gospel about Jesus' death, blood, resurrection and forgiveness with seekers close to us every week and love to build relationship with those who do not share our faith yet; preferably Muslims, Hindus and New Age people with no preconception...

3) We are constantly living by the motto; "disciples makes disciples." We want to be humble, open, willing to be formed, and help new believers and guide them to baptism in water and Spirit. We often baptize,  will explain over and over, pray for and lay our hands on hungry Jesus-disciples every week. We love to see them grow and have spiritual breakthroughs!

4) We try to live sound lives. Working out regularly, love to see a good movie, read an exciting book or just sit together and laugh in close fellowship in someones kitchen or at a cafe.

5) We are all missionaries that love the adventure and meeting with unreached people groups! We travel a lot, work hard, live simple, are very flexible and enjoy life with big L!

Yeah, yeah... I could say much more about honor, generosity, brutal and blunt honesty and aggressive faith... Everything mentioned are attributes that we try to live by and wish will become synonymous for all our SOS people...

Don't forget our life style! Who will you baptize next week?! Who will get to know Jesus through you today?

See ya!
