My Harley Davidson is Crying

A motorcycle accident usually has very dramatic consequenses, if the driver even survives... Head, neck or back injuries that turns a happy biker into a vegetable or, if he's lucky, he's bound to a wheel chair for the rest of his life. That's why I am soooo grateful to God that I'm alive after my accident on Wednesday...

I was changing lane on the Huddinge Road(Road 226) from Stockholm to Tullinge where I live, and was stopping for a red light... The coarse gravel, still on the road after this winter, caused both wheels to let go at the same time and my beautiful Harley slithered across the asphalt 13-19 feet with my right leg jammed underneath. I was not going fast, probably about 15-20 mph when it happened... I thought my leg had been torn off, the pain was so severe, I cried and screamed like a toddler when my leg was released... It was first when the paramedics came that I could talk... At the Karolinska Hospital they found out that two ligaments had been torn off in my right knee... There was also crushed bone in my knee cap...

I have been drugged by morphine at the hospital for two days, but now I'm at home on my couch with my family...

I'll have to wear an orthosis on my right leg and walk with crutches for eight weeks and then have at least one, maybe two knee-operations. After that physical therapy and a looong time of rehabilitation... I'll probably have to live with the crutches for about six months... But I do believe in miracles and superfast healing - let's see :)...

My beautiful Harley - before the accident...

I think my kids were mostly worried that mom and I talked about selling the Harley :)... "Don't do it dad!" they said in chorus. They love their little brother; "Sportster" born 2002 and know that he is crying more than daddy right now... We'll see... Let's hope that the insurance company takes care of you my friend... Motor bikes for sure have a place in God's creation ;). We are crying with you today...

Thank you Jesus for life and muscular angels!

See ya!

Our Lifestyle!

Pastoring in Stockholm again... Lovely! I have great coworkers, a real "dream team" and it's summer... Driving my Harley between the different tasks; marriage counseling, meetings with new members, life coaching, administration and of course, preaching, teaching and leading people to salvation... I actually really love being a pastor...

Monday was my day off, haven't had one in quite some time actually. I usually succeed at prioritizing my day of rest but haven't really been able to do that these last couple of weeks and I'm paying for it now with coughing, fever and common grumpyness ;). It never works to break the third commandment - God knew this and gave us the day of rest as a great gift. Well, well... I did some boxing and then some strength training, played cards and chess before lunch... Went to the movies with my son Adam and saw Pirates of the Caribbean - 4, so fun ;)! What a great and relaxing day it was!

There are some principles, or a lifestyle-guide that I try to live by in order to live long. After 22 years as a disciple I've "cooked it down" to three points...

1) A strong inner life (prayer, worship, Bible reading, fasting and Spiritual studies).
2) A strong outgiving and extroverted life (fellowship with seekers, discipleship training with new believers every week and regular mission trips).
3) A sound life (days off, regular physical training, dating my Maria, fun and creative fellowship with the kids, playing cards, BBQ's, laughing with friends, but also hunting, fishing, motor cycle rides etc).

No... I have to stop blogging now and start working on the Vision Meeting; SOS Church Next Step that will take place this Saturday and also this Sunday's message...

Ps. Aren't you gonna attend SOS Mission Bible College this fall?! Apply here and now!

See ya!

Favor

I'm sitting in my hotel room in Islamabad, humble, before the face of the Lord tonight...This afternoon I had a 45 minute audience with the Minister for human rights and minority questions here in Pakistan - exciting...

Minister Akram Masih Gill, member in the Pakistani parliament in Islamabad... Felt like we connected, I was a little unsure still though but... Later this afternoon he called and had cancelled all his evening meetings and wants to have dinner with me and two of my Pakistani friends at the Marriot Hotel - a great evening with exciting conversations. We became very good friends :). I am now his intercessor... Favor. What happens now? I am amazed and thankful...

45,000 Gathered Tonight!

We have prayed with about 25,000 to salvation this past week! Tonight we counted to 45,000 gathered at the festival ground (there was no space for more) and we don't know how many that sat on the bus-roofs and walls around the area... There were probably 50,000 or more that heard the gospel live in Faisalabad tonight!

Lots of miracles :)! Tumors that dissapeared and fell off people and severely hearing impaired who heard perfectly! Crippled who walked and started to run and demon possessed were carried out during the entire night! Deliverance from demonic powers! We concluded the evening with prayer for baptism in the Holy Spirit!

Hoarse voices, happy and breaktrough against all odds :)!

Jesus is Grand!

This extremely hot night in Faisalabad (111 degrees F earlier today) became our breakthrough night in this festival :). 26,000 people from all different religions, philosophies, movements and people groups in Pakistan were gathered tonight to hear about Jesus' forgiveness and salvation! Around 6,700 people ran to the front to become disciples of Jesus and be washed in His blood! Worship was wild tonight! The dust whirled and rose high in the air when happy families danced! Many mute started speaking tonight and tumors dissapeared! There was reason to shout your voice hoarse and dance yourself sweaty! Only Jesus performs such miracles! No one else is able! Only Him!

The miracle in Faisalabad is a fact already! Tomorrow night it's the grand finale and the locals believe that the crowd will double! Jesus is kissing us all wet again! No prayer or fasting gave us these victories, not even hard work, stubbornness or discipline - only His grace :)!

We pray and fast to change, purify ourselves and draw closer to Jesus, the miracles cannot be bought by money, prayer or technology... All glory to Jesus!

See ya!

Festival in Pakistani Faisalabad Against All Odds

I traveled straight from the Pakistani Embassy at Östermalm Stockholm to the Central Station. My visa and the blessed stamp on it was still wet as I sat on the subway. I have never been more happy for a visa in my life. I took the Arlanda Express train with my special-issued visa and ran in, bags in hand, to buy a ticket from Turkish Airlines at the airport, less than an hour before departure...

I didn't make it to the Wednesday and Thursday night festival meetings, but get to preach this weekend at least - thank you Jesus! Peter, my dear Peter, is a hero and the rest of the SOS team have worked around the clock...

In the last minute God gave us contacts on the highest level and a wonderful Christian minister miraculously helped us! Nothing else would have worked right now due to recent events in Pakistan. The situation is very tense after the shooting of the terrorist leader Usama bin Laden... In other words; a "special permission or clearence" directly from heaven :)!

Turkish Airlines took me from Stockholm via Istanbul to Karachi, then I took the local domestic airline Air Blue to Lahore and topped it off with a three hour drive to Faisalabad... Traveled 22 hours nonstop :). Checked in at the hotel, took a shower, changed clothes and then directly to the festival ground... Rest and sleep didn't matter anymore, I had already passed those humps and entered into the "second breathing :)."

Threats from Muslim organizations and one of our loudspeakers crushed... Extremely hot (111 degrees F in the shade) and illness in the team. Might have had to start over a little tonight, but we did have 14,000 people there and about 8,000 prayed a salvation prayer! We handed out 6,000 of my little book Saved in the Last Days and decision cards were filled out! Many were healed - a mute boy started to speak, and that's only one of the many wonderful things that the Spirit of God did :). Jesus is lovely! Festival after all and breakthrough against all odds!

See you soon!

The Holy Spirit is Smarter

If spiritual success only depended on being as professional and relevant as possible, then alot of churches in Scandinavia should grow rapidly... That is not the case. If we could produce signs and wonders just by following the check list or instruction manual in a disciplined manner, then all German and Austrian churches should be miracle centers. It doesn't work that way.

To follow the Holy Spirit sometimes requires us to act straight against our wisdom, and for the moment, shallow feelings and even against my own will... Pure loving hearts that say; "I don't know much more than that I love, want to follow and that the Spirit knows best, yes always better than me."
Crushed, soft and dead. Being made alive just because He has performed miracles. Amazed to tears for His ways are so much higher than mine. I rest and know - the Holy Spirit is smarter than me :).

Love Wins!

Our God is love and pours out love in our hearts through His Holy Spirit. Love is a fruit of the Spirit and not just a feeling... If we walk in step with the Spirit we are also walking in love! Anything else is impossible. We must love! We are driven by the love of Jesus!

1 John 4:8, 19, Rom 5:5, Gal 5:22, Gal 5:16, 2 Cor 5:14, John 13:34-35

If we are disciples of Jesus we love, always think the best of, and speak well of all people! We love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. We refuse to hate and always want to forgive. Love always wins!

Without love we cannot believe (Gal 5:6)!Love is bigger than speaking in tongues, prophecy, knowledge and faith (1 Cor 13:13)!

It is wonderful to be a pastor in Stockholm! I love the stockholmers!

See ya!
