Kissing and Truth-Telling

I read one of my best friend's blogs today and I thought - wow, this is good! Read and learn!

Kissing & Truth-Telling

I was reading in my devotions this morning and came across this familiar verse in Proverbs 24: An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.

I was meditating on several ways this is true.

1. Having someone tell you the truth is a GIFT! Living in self-delusion is both a trap and a path toward pain.

2. Hearing the truth is easier and best from those who have earned the right. We don't just let anyone kiss us on the lips. :)

3. If you truly care about someone - you can express it by telling them the complete truth. Another Proverb says- 'better is open rebuke than hidden love.'

4. As you tell them the truth make it much like a kiss and less like a punch in the face.

5. When someone cares enough to speak the truth in love - receive it like a kiss not like a punch in the face.

Maybe you need to kiss someone today?

The church is advancing!

We have soon baptized 80 people since the start-up downtown Stockholm! Out of these almost 60 were baptized during 2010! We have advanced from 12 house churches to 25! We have already reached all our faith goals for 2010! We were aiming for 50 baptized, 200 people in our house churches and 300 adult visitors on a Sunday. We have baptized 56, we have a little over 200 people in our house churches and 1150 visitors at our 1 year anniversary Sunday August the 28th this year!

Today we believe that a rough 350 people view SOS Church as their spiritual home! The youth and children’s ministries are growing aggressively! Our finances are growing, the missions work is expanding, etc!

We had around 80 prayer warriors gathered at our prayer nite yesterday! Some 45 people stayed until 2 am!

I am in Örebro, Sweden, teaching and preaching today (Saturday) and SOS Church has a Latino party at 7 pm… Tomorrow I will preach at home! We will have a child dedication and 3 people will be baptized on their own faith and confession!

God is good! It’s fun to be a pastor! I am happy!

See ya!

Wild prayer. Speaking in tongues. Heartfelt, deep worship. Quiet listening to the Spirit. Do you want to participate in building the church - join me in prayer tonight between 10 pm and 2 am!

The warriors are gathering!

This morning I took the train and the metro through my beloved and currently "snow white" Stockholm! :) Ahh I love this city - and I am in the center of God's will and calling for my life...

I'm reading the free newspaper Metro and smile while listening to the conversation that two Lebanese women are holding on their way to work. Their way of blending the Arabic and Swedish languages is so cute...
I am teaching the SOS Leaderschool on "the church in the multi cultural society" this week.

Friday I lead the prayer night at SOS Church Stockholm, starting at 10 pm! Is there anything better?!

Can't wait... the warriors are gathering!

See you soon!

Home!

I'm having a cup of coffe in my kitchen in Tullinge... I landed at Arlanda airport early this morning. I went home and slept for a couple of hours before the kids came home from school.. Alicia, Adam and me just got back from the mall at Skärholmen where we were shopping birthday gifts for Maria - we had soo much fun! And we found great gifts too!

I have been overwhelmed by the love and care from church members today - I feel soo welcomed back! I feel a deep thankfulness to God in my heart for SOS Church Stockholm!

Tomorrow I'm teaching at the Leadership school downtown Stockholm. Tonight we will have some Danish sausage and play cards...

We are having prayer night Friday at 10 pm - 02 am! The church is built through prayer!

See ya!

What a Sunday!

I preached in an african-american church yesterday morning- such anointed worship and such a strong response to the message. It was soo beautiful! The service was characterized by honor, respect, excellence, a strong presence of the Lord and a great heart for the poorest in the city! I learned so much! I received something from God at VCC Liberty Campus Church in Ohio, and will take that with me back to Stockholm...

Lock & Gloria Beachum are the pastors at VCC Liberty Campus...

In the evening I held a bible study in New Life Church - a true missions center with a lot of people!

Now I am on my way home... I long for my family and my church!

See ya!

Holy Spirit!

I preached at VCC, Youngstown, OH Friday evening! It was wonderful! A 4000 member strong church and what worship they have! Their Friday night services are called "River Service" and are complete Holy Spirit evenings with a lot of worship... Several rushed to the front at my salvation invitation and many sought the Lord for hours in the after meeting, basking in God's glory! A wonderful drunkenness and renewed and expanded visions from the wonderful Holy Spirit! I both saw and heard from Heaven :)! I love the stream from the Holy Spirit! Tomorrow I will be preaching at two different churches here in Youngstown! Fun!

SOS Church has Sunday celebration at 4pm at Warfvinges väg 26, Stadshagen, Kungsholmen! Walter is preaching and many will bury their old lives and demon houses in the baptism grave tomorrow! I would soo much have wanted to be there as well! Next weekend I'll be leading our prayer night as well as preaching at our Sunday service! Can't wait!

See ya!

2nd Episode of God's Adventurers!

God's Adventurers- Season 2: Ep 2 from Mission SOS on Vimeo.

Revived vision!

Abram was about to give up. The promise from God never seemed to become a reality. Childless, old, impotent and his wife Sarah long time past her menopause… Abram already had a B-plan. Instead of the son that heaven had promised, Eliezer would be the heir (a foster son and faithful servant)… Then God shows up for a visit…

After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.”
But Abram said, “Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?” And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.”
Then the word of the LORD came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.” He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

Gen. 15:1-5

The vision is not only revived, it is even expanded! Abram learns once and for all that everything will be the way God has said and keeps saying as long as Abram holds on to the promise and the original vision.
Come out under the stars instead! Come out, lift your gaze, count and allow yourself to be overwhelmed by everything a good God wants to give you if you only dare to believe! Don’t settle for second best! Throw the B-plans in the trash! Believe! See clearly! God is good!

Tomorrow Peter and I are traveling to
Ohio in a fun rental car to preach at Victory Christian Center this weekend!

Second Half

I had such a great day off on Monday here in Pittsburgh... Worked out, ate chicken wings and steak, laughed with friends, played pool and saw the movie Red...

Yesterday I both lead prayer school, taught at MCM Ministry School and had lunch with Jeff Leake... Subway sandwiches - yummy! We talked about the future. Jeff told me about priorities that he, together with the Holy Spirit in prayer has chosen to focues on in the next second half.

1) Church planting
2) Unreached peoples missions
3) The poor
4) Live a book of Acts life
5) The next generation

Great! I am praying right now and considering making his priority list my own while entering the second half as well! I might list it a little differently though...

1) Unreached peoples mission
2) Living a book of Acts life
3) The next generation
4) Church planting
5) The poor

Jeff is a man of God. He has a strong prayer life. I am sharpened in his fellowship. Just want to continue forward at full speed!

Praying for Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh - maybe the most unreached area in the world! Praying that God will give SOS a larger building in Stockholm city! Praying that we will baptize 100 stockholmers during 2011!

Miracle Stories!

Day off. Worked out hard at the gym, had wings for lunch and listened to miracle stories of two friends that work with rehab and church planting in the ghettos of the US... There's nothing like genuin miracle stories - Jesus becomes so huge!

Slept an hour in the afternoon...Tonight I will hang out with all the swedes that have come together here in Pittsburgh; Julia and Samuel Willkander, Linnea Hagenfors, Nina Anderson and me... :) Fun!

Tomorrow I teach at MCM again...

Called to Cast Out Demons!

I woke up at 4:55 this morning and heard the Holy Spirit whisper: "Your calling is to cast out demons..." Clearly awake and with a big cup of coffee I started preparing my messages at the guesthouse where I am staying... I'm teaching at MCM Ministry School - our Bible school in collaboration with APC here in Pittsburgh PA, USA. Teaching the subject; Angels and Demons and Deliverance Ministry and the students are so hungry that they either forget about having breaks or shout out that they don't want any breaks when I ask them ;). I'm enjoying teaching and haning our with my dear friend Jeff Leake.

Jesus said:

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons...
Mark 16:17a

They said about Jesus;

What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.
Mark 1:27b

I feel the "casting-out-demons-anointing" come over me again. Pastors, missionaries and all Jesus' disciples wake up; we have to rescue the captives and proclaim light in the darkness! We have to continue to, in the name of Jesus, cast out Mr alcohol, pornography, fortune telling and cancer out of satan's victims all over the world and among all people groups!

Pakistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh need deliverance warriors! Europe need disciples that dare to roar!

Church Building in Port-au-Prince!

After the festival that SOS held in earthquake devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti just a few weeks ago, we decided to plant a church right in the middle of the tent camp where the festival took place... The weeks after the festival several hundreds of new believers have gathered for follow-up classes and this week we received the first photos of the physical church building!

SOS

People all over the world ask me about SOS... I'll try to sum up what has become our churches', mission bases', and missionaries' culture and life style during the years.

An SOS-person;

1) Love prayer, fast regularly and live in the stories of the Bible...
2) Have many seeker-friends, like Muslims and Hindus and always new disciples under their wings that they guide to baptism in water and the Holy Spirit...
3) Love the adventure, the mission trip, festival, new cultures, tastes and adrenalin-kicks...
4) Love to have guests, have open homes, people living with them and extra people around the dinner and kitchen table...
5) Believes in miracles, prophetic dreams, visions, angels and Jesus-revelations...
6) Has simplicity, joy in life and a vitality as life style...
7) Is generous with money and possessions, is generous with itself and laugh a lot...

Yes! It's easy to let this list continue but... We will proceed forth until the last people group has heard! I fly to the US tomorrow! The next year we will have festivals in Pakistan! Nation Invation, Pakistan - 2011! Yes!

Saturday Bible Studies

I'm still in Eilat, Israel as a tour leader/chaplain with a group of 110 Swedes. It is such a privilege to, once every fall, work together with Göran Duveskog, Daniel Viklund and Joen Lindquist... Next year you'll probably join me here in the Holy Land! This morning I held a Bible study with the group, now I've just snorkled in the corall reaves a few hours... Soon time for Bible study no 2 today - wonderful!

Today we start something entirely new at SOS Church Stockholm - SOS saturday Bible Studies! It starts at 4 pm with coffee, fellowship and worship in our café. Then we divide ourselves into 8 groups with 8 different group leaders that will teach each study in 8 different languages! Swedish, English, Finnish, Spanish, Persian, Arabic, Amharic and French! After 45 minutes of group study the whole group gather again for questions and answers and prayer! Don't miss this! Bible, worship, prayer and multicultural fellowship! Welcome!

A Friend

Sitting at a café in Eilat drinking an espresso overlooking the Red Sea and the mountains in Jordan at the other side of the Akaba Bay... I have sunbathed and swam a short, lovely time on this earth today ;). My shorts are still wet and my flip flops are sooo soft...

I'm soon having lunch with a good Israeli friend since eight years... Cheerish your friends! A good friend is someone you can relax with... Your friend does not lie in wait to bust you later... A friend always beleives the best and is generous. If you have a friend for life, you have more than most people. A true friend is worth more than money in the bank, luxorious stuff, career and fame.

Today the sun is shining and it's 97 degrees in the shade... We know nothing about tomorrow, but life here and now is great! He's waiting now, must go...

Masada and The Dead Sea

Dad and I at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem

Yesterday I walked the "snake path" up and down Mount Masada. Once upon a time it was King Herod's desert palace and later on the Zealots last stronghold against the Romans, under the leadership of Ben-Yair Ellasar. The Zealots would let the Romans take them alive, so instead the 967 people all committed corporate suicide AD 73 after a 3 year siege…

I once again walked away victorious from the fight against "getting old", even though my breakfast came up half up the "sanke path" :). I wiped my mouth, took a sip of water and continued on … SOS Army discipline ;).

Dad Ewald...

My dad Ewald floated like a large cork in the Dead Sea ;). Thank you Jesus for great moments in your Word today… Will you join me to Israel next year?!

See Ya!

The Upper Room

I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Matt 3:11

Yesterday we had a meeting with our group of 110 people right between Gordon's Golgotha and the Garden Tomb, and 10 people responded and wanted to pray a salvation prayer with me! Today we started the day with a gathering in the Upper Room and many were dipped in Jesus' river of fire and started to speak in tongues!

The Upper Room...

After that we visited the Western Wall for prayer (2 Chron 6:32-33) and now we are exploring the Old City... We are soon heading to the Yad Vashem - a museum over the 6 million Jews that were murdered during Hitler's regim in Germany during World War 2...

I Love Jerusalem!

Baptized several people in the Jordan River on Sunday! That same night we arrived to Jerusalem... I love Jerusalem - holy, mourned, laid in ruins 17 times, extoled, acclaimed, marked with blood, prophetic, the Jew's, the Christian's and the Muslim's point of intersecction. The capital city of the future, the Messiah and the entire world! I only wish her peace!

I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.
That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the LORD—
to praise the name of the LORD
according to the statute given to Israel.
There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the LORD our God,
I will seek your prosperity.

Ps 122
