Together for the City!

SOS festival team held a worship concert yesterday afternoon, Julia Willkander, our own Fine Arts Pastor led the team - what presence of God and feeling of well-being! 14 different organizations and city churches met for a night of inspiration for the "paperless" (homeless refugees) sake...

The "paperless" is the poorest group of people we have in Stockholm today... During this winter, that was the coldest we can remember, we have served supper and breakfast and the St Klara Church has opened its doors with matrasses and sleepingbags in the sanctuary... The different city churches have taken turns to serve the poor... Thank You Jesus! Poverty shall be eradicated and the church needs to take its God given responsibility and create a better city, with more godly values such as righteousness, peace, joy, power and light!

Sunday Morning...

Am enjoying a cheese sandwich with a cup of coffee... Praying between each bite; - Jesus thank you for the blood, your righteousness and the great exchange on the cross... As I swallow the last piece of my sandwich I reach for my Bible (my best friend) and begin to read the last five chapters of the book of Revelation as I continue to sip on my coffee... Sitting here in my workout clothes and Maria is still sleeping... the kids are busy with their own stuff – soon I will slip out for a 30 min run and then I will finish up with abs and back exercise along with some more prayer and Bible study...

Soon time for a run...

IToday I will head to church early to fill the baptismal together with Christer Rödven, baptism talk over lunch and then a brief gathering with all the participants in today's celebration... I will preach about heaven today! At 4pm! Imagine to be able to serve God and preach the Gospel of Jesus! I have my usual jet lag, am attacked on several sides but yet deep joy in my chest – I am still a warrior in battle...

Preaching about heaven today...

See ya!

Aggressive Faith!

Road trip from Istanbul through Europe and at the moment passing through the Danish countryside... Horse mansions, windmills – old and new and wind lashed costs, all through dirty windshields... In southern Europe we has a taste of pre-summer but here in the north nature is still cold and bare after a harsh winter...

Carlos Recinos casting out devils from a woman at the festival...

On the inside I hear a mountain river and a waterfall from the Himalayans, or should we say a Volcano on Iceland! :) Aggressive faith was ignite at the first unreached people's festival of 2010! Hindus and Muslims and the desperately sick all had the undistorted and innocent faith. It was contagious! Our SOS India church planters had it when they cast out devils. It was contagious! Carlos Antonia Recino (my newly saved bodyguard from SOS Church) had it and made sick well in the name of Jesus – one after the other. Again, it was contagious! Miracle faith, pioneer work and unreached people mission is the best cure for a broken soul and a at times to scarred Pastor Amritzer... God is good! The fire is burning! We through mountains in the ocean! We continue to build a church in Stockholm on Sunday! We will baptize again! There will be Bollywood dances and miracle stories from Nepal! I will preach about Heaven! Will I see you on Sunday?!

Welcome!

Picnic in the Green Grass

The mountains right outside of Sofia...

Air Arabia took us to Istanbul, the door to Europe! The Bulgaria team met us there with their legendary blue Toyota minivan. We travelled by land from Asia to Europe through the Bosporous and Lake Marmar. Just outside Sofia, we stopped for a picnic in the grass under the sun with take out from KFC. Gorgeous pre-summer colors at our feet and white snow clad mountains in the distance. After the food was eaten, we opened our Bibles and together we read about heaven and prayed. I hope my blog readers can beat that lunch ;). I am sorry if this psychs some of you, but then perhaps you should have chosen to be a missionary after all!

The blue Toyota minivan eats the tarmac on its way towards the border to Serbia, in other words almost home... Our dear friend Christer Rödven rendevous with us at the border between Serbia and Hungary. We had not expected to meet the Balkan base, but God like so often before added some bonuses, and we enjoyed laughter and fellowship.

A Shiva Temple and Gurus

We are still in Kathmandu, Nepal bacause of the ash cloud from Iceland that's over the European air territory. Most of the air ports in Europe are closed and our airline, Qatar Airways told us that we shouldn't count on getting home before sometime in May :)... So... What to do?! We prayed and then went to a local travel agency and found one way tickets to Istanbul, Turkey via Saudi Arabia with Air Arabia tomorrow for only $353 per person. We are praying and hoping that these are our miracle tickets to the port of Europe... When we arrive in Istanbul our SOS missionaries from ous base in Bulgaria will meet us and then we'll go by car home through Europe... Jesus said; all things are possible for those who believe!

Today we visited an enormous temple city and a huge Shiva temple to study Hinduism and do some sight seeing. There were Hindu cremations just like in Varanasi India, and gurus who bragged about their superhuman powers... One guru meant that he could, after special yoga and meditation lift a stone that weighed 198 pounds with his penis, and another one told us that he used to float above the ground and often did trips outside his body when he was young... Yeah, yeah... What do you say?! Maybe it's true... Just as true as the same guru's smoke haschhisch and marijuana several times every day and that their eyes were all red and they were high as skyscrapers when they told us their stories...

Shiva temple in Kathmandu...

Sadhu - a Hindu holy man...

We need to give the Hindus a Jesus-gospel that is full of love, demonstrated in the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus loves the Hindus! Signs and wonders in the name of Jesus is the only thing that can open their hearts.

Volcano Ashes and Landslides

Last night a narrow passage on the serpentine roads between Butwal, Southern Nepal and Kathmandu, the capitol was blocked by three major landslides due to heavy rains... We sat in the bus waiting almost all night... At last excavating machines managed to make a path in the mud and stone masses and rescued us trapped missionaries... What an adventure :)!

Our American team flew home happy but we got the news that Qatar Airways will probably cancell all their flights because of the ash-cloud of the volcano eruption on Iceland, Europe...

Ok?! What do we do now? Go by train through China, Kazakhstan, Russia and then Latvia and take a boat from Riga to Stockholm? Or should we try to fly to the US and from there to Stockholm?! There have been planes landing at Arlanda Int Airport from the US... Well... Hm... Deliberation going on... :) It's exciting to be an unreached people's missionary and a God's adventurer on my way home after accomplished mission...

See ya!

Reports From Home

Human video at SOS Church...

Read my e-mails last night and got wonderful reports from Stockholm... They will baptize this Sunday at SOS Church again and the next Sunday it seems like we will baptize several people! The baptismal feast is continueing and more are being baptized in the Spirit and becoming strong Jesus-followers! Two guys were baptized in the Holy Spirit at one of our house churches on Friday night and I received lyrical text messages here in Nepal :). I'm trying to send a video greeting to the church's celebration, but the wireless internet isn't the best here in the hotel lobby, so we'll see if it works...

There's victory and success in all parts of SOS right now. There's never been such harmony in our churches as now ad the entire global SOS family is one heart and soul in a way that we have never experienced before... Everyone has come so much closer to one another, become more humble and matured in God due to all external persecution and internal hardships during the years... God is good and we become better... Thank You Jesus that You spoke and gave us SOS!

See ya!

Lovely Chaos!

We just finished the last festival meeting and are on our way to a restaurant to eat... Well... How do I sum up a very intense week in Nepal?! ;) Tonight we prayed with about 1100 people to salvation! A little over 2000 have responded to our three salvation invitations these days and and about 60-70 people been delivered from evil spirits! The healing miracles are more than we can count! We planned for a Pastoral seminar (200 leaders) and a mini crusade with a maximum of 5000 people per night, but were totally short-handed with a far too small team and organization for what God gave :). The second night - in contrary to the first - we had a little grip on the event, but tonight it was just a lovely chaos and a hysterical, crazy mircle hunger from our Hindu friends! :) Everyone stormed everything and everyone and in the middle of the turmoil Jesus performed miracles... Several stood up from their wheel chairs and a man that had gone to countless Hindu temples for healing was walking, jumping and laughing on the platform tonight ! :)

Yeah, yeah... SOS faith goal was to give the small churches in the city of Butwal 1500 new believers to take care of - and now they have over 2000 new born disciples to Jesus in the follow up work... We are tired, sweaty, dusty, and have alomost lost our voices, but most of all happy!

Jesus Died for the Hindus!

A lot of people responded to the salvation invitation today due to the size of the crowd - about 5000 people stood and sat in the scorching sun and listened to the message... About 500 filled out desicion cards and received my little booklet about salvation as their birthday present - thank You Jesus!

Many strong deliverances took place - about 15-20 people were carried into the demon clinic and came out free and changed by Jesus... Virgin land and mini crusade in Nepal when it is as best in other words :)...

See ya soon!

Miracles Among Hindus!

Salvation prayer...

About 300 decision cards were filled out tonight - 90% Hindus... A wheel chair was brought up on stage when a lame lady started to walk! Everyone was screaming and total chaos broke loose when two men held up the wheel chair over their heads in the crowd! The inclosures were stormed and guards, ushers and counselors desperately tried to bring order among thousands of miracle hungry unreached Hindus that had no idea of how to behave at a Christian meeting :). I'm happy just thinking of it... You should have been there! An almost blind woman's sight was restored and she could see perfectly and a little six year old boy who had never been able to learn to walk properly due to balance issues was healed and ran like a chased bunny up on stage :)! God is good!

This woman's sight was completly restored!

Jesus healed this little boy's balance issues and he can now walk and run without any problems...

SOS India

There are 122 churches in SOS India today. We have sponsored about 40 of our key pastors to travel from north India to the city of Butwal in Southern Nepal to be a part of the pastor seminars and the festival... There are 200 hungry leaders gathered for the seminars (our pastors and pastors and leaders from Butwal). The worship and atmosphere is wonderful and our teaching about the First Church so well received!

I have just picked up my Nepali vest at the local tailor and I'm very pleased... Tonight I hope to be a worthy representative for the gospel and the Kingdom of God. My message will be Jesus, Him as crusified and risen! The ABC of the gospel is the only thing that works in meeting with Hindus, Muslims and Animists... Jesus and only Jesus!

When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.

1 Cor 2:1-5

Hopefully I'll be back with miracle reports soon...

God, from the bottom of my heart I pray, let the Holy Spirit paint Jesus for the Hindus tonight! Let signs and wonders accompany the preaching of the Word!

See ya!

Pastor Seminar in Butwal

My domestic flight (Buddha Air) from Kathmandu to Butwal was cancelled due to a hail storm in the Himalayas yesterday afternoon... I had to work quite hard to go get to the pastor seminar that started this morning at 9 AM. A sea captain at an oil tanker, Rushan Gupta, and I together with three security guards (all from Nepal) rented a jeep together and split the cost :). They had worked abroad for a long time and were now on their way home to celebrate the Hindu new year... Today is the first day of their new year, 2067, everybody is happy and wishing everyone happy new year... I arrived at my hotel at 3 AM and got to sleep about 3 hours after a 40 hour trip... Received new hindu friends and two of them promised that they'd come listen to me preach at the festival :).

Today Gerry Stoltzfoos, Lance Stoddart and I have taught 200 leaders from India and Nepal - so great and wonderful! This is really unreached people's mission! There's never been a Jesus-festival arranged here in Butwal, everything is so Hinduistic and untouched virgin land. Exciting!

A local tailor took my measurements today and will sew a traditional Nepali vest for me that I'll wear when I preach at the opening festival meeting tomorrow night!

See ya!

On My Way to the Roof of the World

Sitting at the airport in Doha, Qatar on the Arabian Peninsula waiting for my connection flight to Kathmandu, Nepal... Julia, Linnéa and Carlos are shopping and I'm blogging... My flight is almost 4 hours delayed and we have read in Mark's gospel together - the festival and miracle gospel... As a matter of fact I always read Mark's gospel when I'm out on a festival - it's an action and mircale story of Jesus' life written with a fast pen...

We had an awesome celebration at SOS Church this Sunday - we preached about the future, saw people saved and I got to baptize my 14 year old nephew, Alex at the end... Our entire family was there to celebrate and we enjoyed each others company at an Italian restaurant on Fridhemsplan after service... My dad told stories and we laughed and enjoyed life together - 25 people - Latinos, Austians ans Swedes :). Yeah, yeah... Imagine that almost our entire family share our love for Jesus soon:).

We are now praying and believing for the lame to run, the deaf to hear and sooo many to pray the salvation prayer in Butwal, southern Nepal at the festival that starts Wednesday night!

See ya!

Heavenly Surprised!

Yesterday there were 35 youths that stayed through the entire message that Fernan Santos preached at SOS Youth - what a breakthrough for a youth ministry that was lauch only this February! About 70 prayer warriors came to our first all night prayer as a church and at most there were 54 people at one time according to Walter, my associate Pastor, who counted heads...

What pure worship! Such a focus and drive in the prayer! Many of our newly saved were there and prayed from start to end - they are so hungry and it is so wonderful to be able to prayer together with them... Tommy Lilja from Sölvesborg, south Sweden, called this morning and said that he was awaken by our prayer at 2 am down in Blekinge :)! I am heavenly surprised to see to how everything is moving forward in our pioneer work, just after 7 months as a church... We will be baptizing again this Sunday - hallelujah!

I am about to pick up my mother at the central train station; she will be visiting over the weekend. Then I am off to record TV with Daniel Elvelyck! Other than that I am doing laundry, shopping and packing for a festival in Nepal next week - I travel on Monday... But first celebration at SOS Church tomorrow at 4pm!

See ya!

Pray Through!

Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.
Col 4:12

The title is an old well-known Christian saying that have been used for centuries... A saying that speaks about a peace that comes from praying for a long time, battleing and doing warfare prayer... Pastors, missionaries and leaders of SOS believe in and practise this kind of prayer and know what difference a real prayertime has in our daily lives, church building and the in the spiritual world!

The night between Friday - Saturday (April, 9-10) from 10pm to 2am we will be worshipping, praying and doing war in the heavens as a church. Anxiety, worries and troubles have to give way for the peace of the Spirit, faith and visionary reassurance. We need to pray through! In a very busy week we take time to seek God's face and give it all over to Him! I'm gonna work out now, meet some seeker-friends and then try to buy shoes...

See ya Friday night!

Prayer that Shake Stockholm!

A new week has begun, but I'm still enjoying the sweetness from Easter and especially the wild Easter Sunday celebration at SOS Church :). Several were saved and we baptized four new disciples to Christ! This week I'm charging and getting ready for both this coming weekend here in Stockholm but also this spring's festivals in Nepal and Tanzania... Working out, getting a new pass port, shopping, doing laundry, doing paper work, communication with coworkers...

After SOS Youth's service on Friday I am leading warriors in a prayer night for Stockholm between 10pm and 2am, Prayer that shake Stockholm... Come and pray with me, even though you might not attend our services otherwise! Daniel Elvelyck and I are recording TV on Saturday and then I preach on Sunday at another baptismal feast! Two are already signed up to be baptized, but that could add on and more old lives be buried and then we celebrate ressurection and new life again!

See ya soon!

Finnish and Africans!

I preached three services at one of our sister churches here in Stockholm on Saturday - Finnish Filadelfia Church in Västberga - sooo wonderful! It was full to the brim, people standing everywhere, about 350 wild and crazy youths! About 20 responded to the salvation invitation and maybe 50 were baptized in the Holy Spirit and started speaking in tongues. Hard to know exactly how many that Jesus dipped in His river of fire when the spiritual storm that broke out :). I love raw and happy finnish ethusiasm and passionate finnish gypsies, and there's a perfect mix of both in Filadelfia in Västberga!

At the same time as our gatherings in Västberga the Africans danced at SOS Church Stockholm at All Nations Café (African theme)! There have never been this many people at a café night at SOS and 21 cards of desicion were filled out after salvation prayer! Hallelujah - Easter is all about the Savior! 43 kids at SOS Kids Saturday night! Today we celebrate Jesus' victory and His ressurection with a baptismal feast at 4 pm! I for love Sunday! We'll baptize at least 5 today!

See ya soon!

Tommy Lilja is sooo great and The People's Church full of wonderful people... We sold a lot of books and Cd's as well... The Kingdom of God moves forward!

Carina and Tommy Lilja...

I'm on the train X2000 now, on my way home and will read Reinhard Bonnke's biography the rest of the trip now and enjoy life... Tomorrow I preach three services at the Finnish Filadelfia Church's Youth Conference - love international Stockholm...

Valuable Lives and Changing Life Destinies

I am sitting at Bromma Airport drinking a cup of coffee and thinking... I will soon board a flight to Ronneby – I am preaching in Sölvesborg tonight... Coffee after a meal always tastes the best... There is however food and satisfaction in life that Jesus explain as coming from doing “the will of him who sent me and to finish his work” Joh 4:34. I feel that satisfaction when I think of the five so different, yet so valuable lives that are going to be baptized this Sunday at Celebration at SOS Church at 4pm...

An opera singer from Capetown, South Africa, a Swedish registered nurse, a man from the great nation of China and a couple more... One a former Muslim, one a Buddhist or Atheist – now they are all disciples of Jesus... They have all come home – to both Jesus and us, as part of our international large family in Stadshagen in Stockholm... Their travels have long, tough, and often through harsh lands filled with robbers... But the star finally lead them all to Jesus.

We are raising up SOS Church on a word from Jesus and the church was born out of great pain, but now it has become a warm home for all people... Ah, satisfaction and joy! What do globs, accusations and ridicule mean when lives are changes at a high pace... Answer: not much at all... We obeyed the Spirit and continue to do the will of God downtown every week...

Will I see you this weekend?
